About ReelDrop

ReelDrop is an independent public Instagram video downloader operated by Sachin Chauhan. Its aim is to make saving a video you own or have permission to download a simple browser task.

How the tool works

You submit a public Instagram video link. Our backend uses the open-source yt-dlp project to request available video media and streams the file to your browser. The current downloader does not use a paid media-extraction API or ask for your Instagram password.

What is supported

Public Reels and video posts are supported when Instagram allows retrieval. Photo-only posts and private-account downloads are not supported. Availability, quality and speed can change with Instagram access, network conditions and hosting limits.

Your content and rights

Use the tool only for content you own or have permission or another lawful basis to save. ReelDrop does not transfer rights to someone else's content. Instagram and Meta do not sponsor or endorse this website.
